How DawnPulse Works — From Messy Exports to a 60-Second Briefing
DawnPulse turns your marketing data into one plain-English paragraph every morning: what changed, why it matters, and what to do next. You follow three simple steps; the engine does five stages of work.
What you do: three simple steps
- Get your data in — any way you like. One-click connections for Shopify, Mailchimp, HubSpot, and Klaviyo; CSV/Excel/JSON upload from any platform; forward scheduled exports to your unique DawnPulse email address; or push data via the ingest API (works with Zapier, Make & Pabbly).
- Tell us what you're aiming for (optional, 2 minutes). Pick a goal — grow revenue, cut spend, fix operations, reduce churn. Add dated business notes like "flash sale Sep 1–3". Set targets like "ROAS at least 3". If we can't identify a column in your file, we ask once and remember your answer forever.
- Read your Pulse. Open the dashboard or the morning email. One paragraph, plus the cards that matter most for your goal. Under a minute.
What the engine does: five stages
- Your data arrives — by connection, upload, email forwarding, or API push.
- The engine understands your file — a column dictionary recognises columns across 40+ platforms (and learns your answers), then normalisation resolves dates, currencies, and micro-units into clean daily metrics. Your raw numbers are never altered.
- Rules first, always — a deterministic statistical engine computes trends, anomalies, shifts, and concentration. A messy-data audit flags duplicates, unit traps, flatlines, and impossible values as health warnings. Snapshot mode still produces insights when a file has no dates or only a few days of history.
- Your context shapes the briefing — your goal re-ranks what surfaces first, your business notes add attribution context (data always wins), and your targets stay quiet when you're on track and speak up when you're off.
- Plain English, every morning — only after the rules finish does the AI write, turning verified numbers into a briefing with observation, explanation, and next step — delivered to your dashboard and inbox, with a Partial Pulse if a file is missing.
The email workflows — in and out
Email is both a way to feed DawnPulse and the way your briefing reaches you. Set it up once; it runs itself.
- Forward once, flows forever. Point your platforms' scheduled report emails — Meta Ads, GA4, Stripe, Google Ads — at your unique DawnPulse address and each new export is picked up automatically.
- Parsed like an upload. Attachments go through the same pipeline as a manual upload: dictionary, normalisation, messy-data audit, rules engine.
- Receipt every time. A short confirmation email for every file received, so you know your data arrived and was understood.
- The morning briefing. On the schedule you choose, one plain-English paragraph lands in your inbox — readable without logging in.
- Partial Pulse when a source is late. You still get your briefing for everything fresh, plus a clear note on what's missing and how to fix it — a gap never silently breaks your routine.
- Weekly roll-up on your day. Prefer a weekly cadence? Schedule a weekly Pulse and the whole week rolls up into one cross-platform review on the morning you choose.

The rules-first promise
